Dual screen portable DVD players use one power cord to run the DVD player and two LCD screens. They accomplish this by installing a DC output jack on the DVD player with the screen built-in. This output power jack has the power needed to run the second LCD screen. The cord that connects the two screens together is usually 6 ft. long. This 20 AWG 2.1 x 5.5 mm male to male extension will replace that cord if the output jack is 2.1 x 5.5 mm.
Use these male to male extension cords in your next project that has two separate boards that need the same power, but are in two different enclosures. If they are going to stay within 6 ft. of each other, this extension cord works perfectly and eliminates the need for another power adapter.
