This violin study book features Franz Wohlfahrt’s 40 Elementary Studies, Op. 54. Wohlfahrt (1833–1884) was a violin teacher in Leipzig, Germany, and these studies remain widely used by violin and viola students.
The collection adds variety and bowing combinations to the 60 Studies. Alongside the usual détaché numbers, it includes more legato studies, more dotted rhythms, and a study in Mazurka style.
