This Parts Express 8 AWG 50A breakaway DC power connector is designed as a quick disconnect for high-current DC applications, including car audio amplifier power, RV use, marine use, and other DC charging circuits.
It measures 1.88" L x 1.44" W x 0.63" H and is rated for 50 amps/600 VDC. The current rating is 50 amps on 6 AWG wire producing a 30° C rise. It also has an insulation with standing test voltage of 2200dc, a maximum wire insulation diameter of 0.44"/11 mm, average contact retention force of approximately 50 lbs., average contact resistance of 200 µΩ with 1-1/4" (32 mm) of 6 AWG wire, vibration resistance described as excellent, mating cycles of 10,000, impact resistance of high, environmental restrictions of protected-no hydrocarbon fluids, and an average mating and unmating force of 15 lbs.
