A Month of Sundays: Thanksgiving and Praise is a collection of hymn arrangements for advanced pianists, featuring time-honored hymns for all styles of worship. Composer Jan Sanborn’s experience as a church musician inspires arrangements with a spirit of thanksgiving.
The 12 selections are grouped into four prelude-offertory-postlude combinations, one for each Sunday of the month. The included CD features Sanborn performing all 12 selections at the piano.
Titles include “All Creatures of Our God and King,” “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name,” “Brethren, We Have Met to Worship,” “Come, Christians, Join to Sing,” “Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing,” “Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart,” “Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise,” “Now Thank We All Our God,” “O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing,” “Sing to the Lord of Harvest,” “Thanks to God for My Redeemer,” and “We Gather Together.”
