After Hours is a book for tenor saxophone and piano that contains piano accompaniments. A CD of backing tracks is also included.
Each piece has two backing-track versions: a full performance with the backing track and instrumental melody, and a backing-only version with the accompaniment alone. In the full performance, the melody is played on marimba to avoid dominating the acoustic live instrument when playing along.
The full performance track can help players learn the melody and how it interacts with the accompaniment.
