This Alfred Music book presents Part 1 of Rossini’s Album pour les enfants dégourdis (Album for Lively Children), from Péchés de vieillesse (Sins of Old Age), Vol. 6. It is written for solo piano and edited by Sergio Cafaro.
Vol. 6 contains ten pieces across two books. The larger Péchés de vieillesse collection comprises 150 vocal, chamber and solo piano pieces grouped into fourteen albums; the ordering within each album does not reflect composition dates or sequence.
Rossini composed this collection as salon music for performance in the privacy of his own drawing room. His widow sold the collection following his death in 1868.
