NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient): how much sound a material absorbs. Premium 1–2" acoustic foam typically falls between NRC 0.70 and 0.95. Higher = better absorption of reflections, flutter echo, and room mode buildup. STC (Sound Transmission Class): how much sound a wall assembly blocks from one room to the next. STC is a property of the full wall (studs, drywall, insulation), not of individual products mounted to it. Honest answer: mounting tape has no STC rating because tape is not a wall assembly. What the KK1207 does is keep your foam flush and stable on the surface so the foam's NRC actually works. Foam that falls off the wall absorbs nothing.

Will these damage my paint when I take the foam down? No. The adhesive is engineered for clean removal on properly cured paint, primed drywall, tile, and glass. Pull slowly and parallel to the wall. If your paint is fresh (under 3 weeks old) or chalky, wait a week or test on one tab first.
Will the tabs rip my acoustic foam? No. Generic mounting tape is too aggressive and tears polyurethane foam on removal. The KK1207 adhesive is specifically formulated to grip foam firmly while still releasing it intact when you reposition.
How many tabs do I need per panel? Two tabs for a standard 12" (30 cm) panel, four for a 24" (60 cm) panel, and six for a bass trap or corner block. One pack of 24 covers roughly 12 standard panels.
Will they hold heavy bass traps? For most bass traps under 2 lb / 1 kg, yes — use 6 tabs per trap. For dense fiberglass traps over 3 lb / 1.4 kg, we recommend mechanical mounting (brackets or impaling clips) in addition to tape.
Can I reposition the foam after sticking it? Yes, for the first 24 hours you can peel and reposition. After full cure (24–48 hours) the bond is permanent until you choose to remove it.
Do they work on textured walls or wallpaper? Smooth surfaces only — painted drywall, tile, glass, finished wood, smooth concrete. Heavily textured walls (orange peel, knockdown, brick) reduce contact area and the tabs may not hold. Skip wallpaper entirely.
How long do they last? Indoors, indefinitely. We have customers with panels mounted with this adhesive for 4+ years. Avoid direct sun, high humidity (bathrooms), and outdoor use.
