The cable's composition has been optimized for high reliability and low susceptibility to electrical interference, thanks to its use of polypropylene insulation and 100% Beldfoil aluminum/polyester shielding. 8451 wire also features easy-to-solder 22 gauge tinned copper conductors, along with a tinned copper drain wire.
