Bluster Conductor Score is a colorful, energetic work that musically portrays the unpredictable winds found in foothill communities throughout southern California.
The piece reflects winds that can appear suddenly or blow relentlessly all day. In the percussion section, a rain stick is used, and palm fronds may also be shaken for a visual depiction of the wind.
"The minor harmonies create some neat sounds students would not usually encounter until a higher grade level. There is a great variety of articulation and dynamics that captures the energy of fierce winds perfectly" - The Instrumentalist
