Butterflies On The Breeze is a string orchestra score depicting butterfly migration. It uses only open strings and first finger, using all strings, and ends with a soft, delicate pizzicato passage.
Bowing skills include two-note slurs, staccato on the string, and hooked bowings. The rhythm is simple, but the range of note values makes counting accuracy important. This piece is listed as UIL String Orchestra Sight Reading Level 5 - 2012.
