This is a flat, round piece of natural calfskin, 36 inches in the thin option. Thin is approximately 0.01 of an inch or 3-4 sheets of printer paper.
For reference, Medium is approximately 0.015 of an inch or 4-5 sheets of printer paper, and Thick is approximately 0.02 of an inch or 5-6 sheets of printer paper.
All skins are sold as is. The supplier does its best to eliminate skins with possible defects, but on average you can expect to lose one out of ten skins. Tightness during installation can alter this ratio, so factor the potential loss into your cost.
