The Celestion 18-inch professional woofer is an 8-ohm driver rated to handle 1200 watts RMS. Its lightweight, rigid Kevlar-loaded paper cone is designed for tight, accurate, efficient response and impressive bass.
An advanced, FEA-optimized motor supports maximum output and symmetrical cone movement for low harmonic distortion. Two demodulation rings in the pole piece help reduce electromagnetic distortion and inductance.
The 4-inch inside/outside-wound fiberglass voice coil works with Balanced Airflow Venting to enhance heat dissipation and practically eliminate thermal compression. A multi-roll surround and twin spider suspension keep cone movement linear, while 10 mm of Xmax allows the driver to move substantial air.
