This is the full score for Concerti Armonici: Concertino No. 5 in B-flat, also known as Concerto Armonico in B-flat Major, Concerto II, or simply Concertino in B-flat.
The six Concerti Armonici were long attributed to Carlo Ricciotti and Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, but research identifies Unico Wilhelm van Wassenauer (1692-1766) as the composer. Composed between 1725 and 1740, the works were originally published anonymously, and the aristocratic composer kept his authorship secret due to the period’s social expectations.
This edition draws from the Concerto Armonico in B-flat Major and was edited by 20th century Baroque specialist Johann Philipp Hinnenthal. Hinnenthal spuriously attributes the work to Ricciotti, matching the historical confusion surrounding the piece.
Use this edition for study, performance preparation, or collection of Baroque concert repertoire.
