
George Frideric Handel’s Concerto Grosso in C Minor, Op. 6, No. 8, HWV 326 is one of the twelve concerti grossi from Op. 6 (also known as Twelve Grand Concertos, HWV 319-330).
Written in 1739, this concerto grosso is scored for two violins and cello with an accompanying four-part string orchestra and harpsichord continuo. The set is closely associated with the Baroque concerto grosso tradition and was composed for performance during the intermissions of Handel’s oratorios.
