Dayton Audio’s 4,500 Hz high pass speaker crossover is a premium inline passive filter designed to limit a driver’s frequency response to a specific bandwidth.
This 12 dB/octave, 4 ohms filter can be combined with a 4,500 Hz low pass for a 2nd order Linkwitz-Riley crossover that sums for a flat transfer function across the crossover frequency. You can also stagger or overlap filter frequencies to help overcome peaks and dips in individual drivers’ response.
