The Dayton Audio 25 mm coin-type audio exciter turns nearly any surface into a speaker, with a compact design suited to smaller surfaces such as toys, monitors, cabinet doors, and windows. Its neodymium magnet creates maximum magnetic flux around a proprietary voice coil for increased sensitivity compared with similar-sized exciters. This reduces power requirements and allows use with very small audio amplifiers without sacrificing total output. The 1" voice coil supports more input power for higher-output applications while maintaining a slim-line form factor.
Pre-applied 3M VHB (Very High Bond) adhesive helps transfer acoustic energy to the mounting surface—peel and stick for installation. Two PCB solder points keep installation and wiring compact.
Specifications: Power handling: 10 watts RMS; VCdia: 25 mm; nominal impedance: 4 ohms; Re: 3.6 ohms; Le: 0.07 mH; Fs (uncoupled): 306 Hz. Dimensions: 1.89" (48 mm) diameter × 0.59" (15 mm) high; adhesive dimensions: 1.06" (27 mm) outside diameter; weight: 74.6 grams.
Frequency response and sensitivity depend entirely on the surface. Thinner, smaller materials tend to be louder and produce a mid/tweeter response. Thicker, larger materials used with multiple exciters tend to be slightly quieter and produce a more full-range sound.
