The Dayton Audio dual steel spring balanced audio exciter transfers energy into a mounting surface, making the surface an active radiating panel without a traditional speaker enclosure or visible driver. Its dual-suspension system helps stabilize movement and maintain pistonic behavior on vertical or uneven surfaces. A neodymium motor and 32 mm voice coil provide output capability and heat handling.
It has a removable mounting pad with pre-applied 3M VHB adhesive for smooth surfaces, plus two integrated screw holes for textured or irregular materials. The mounting pad/adhesive measures 1.26" (32 mm) outside diameter. Possible mounting surfaces include cabinet panels, display fixtures, architectural elements, and furniture; applications include kiosks, themed environments, concealed home audio systems, interactive exhibits, signage, and DIY designs. Exciters may be used individually or in multiples.
