The Dayton Audio KABD-250 is an all-in-one, 2-channel amplifier board for DIY audio projects, combining Class D amplification, an ADAU1701 DSP, and Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD. With a 24 VDC power supply, it delivers 2 x 50W at 4 ohms; supported impedance is 3.2–8 ohms. The TPA3116 amplifier operates at 88% efficiency.
Stream over Bluetooth or connect through the line-level AUX input. The Qualcomm Bluetooth module supports aptX, aptX HD, aptX LL, SBC, and AAC, with an onboard antenna and an external antenna jack for an optional antenna. Wireless connectivity is specified up to 15 m (50 ft), with RF power up to 9 dBm and receive sensitivity of -90 dBm. A DSP-controlled line-level output can connect to a powered subwoofer or external amplifier.
Customize EQ, crossovers, bass enhancement, time alignment, and other DSP settings with free SigmaStudio software. Programming requires a Windows PC or laptop with a USB port, a USB cable, and a compatible Dayton Audio DSPB-ICP1 programmer (Micro USB) or KPX programmer (USB Type C); programmers and USB cable are sold separately. Four potentiometer sockets support optional external controls. The recommended power supply is 12–24 VDC, 3A.
