The Dayton Audio 6-1/2" poly cone woofer is a direct replacement for the Dayton Audio B65 and B65A bookshelf speakers. It is also designed for two-way loudspeakers and other low-frequency applications.
Its grey polypropylene cone and inverted dustcap provide a distinctive appearance, while the cone resists moisture and environmental changes. A compliant rubber surround and large-diameter flat spider help control excursion and keep the voice coil centered.
The motor uses a ferrite magnet and a four-layer voice coil wound on an aluminum former. A stamped steel frame provides rigid support and has a low-profile lip for surface-mounted installations. Sensitivity is 89 dB, and frequency response extends from 50 Hz to 5 kHz.
