Its durable suspension and rigid cone allow for the high excursion necessary to complement powerful subwoofers while maintaining low distortion.
Innovative Sandwich Mass StructureAt the core of the SS12-PR is Dayton Audio’s Sandwich Mass Structure (SMS) system. This design places all added tuning mass between the spider and the surround, keeping it perfectly centered and stable during long excursion operation. A threaded bolt with both a wing nut and a nylock nut makes adjustments secure and easy, while the included set of five 116 g weights provides plenty of flexibility for precise tuning.
