This mounted replacement goat skin head is made for an 8-inch cuica. Its bamboo dowel is in place and ready to go.
If the dowel pulls loose, try reinserting it with a dab of glue. If the head is still good but the dowel breaks, it can be replaced with a bamboo dowel sold in grocery stores as kabab skewers.
