Here's a super Latin chart for your first-year players. A driving rhythm keeps the energy going top to bottom on this Carl Strommen original. The piano sets things up in the intro, and the cowbell builds it from there. Layers of simple straight-eighth note patterns build right into the solo section. This easy-to-play chart features written alto and trumpet solos with ensemble backgrounds, very reasonable brass ranges (trumpet and trombone to D), and a simple piano interlude with the drummer. If you want a fun Latin tune that just about plays itself, then try EL TIGRE!
