This conductor score and parts are for Excursions, a demanding work for solo trumpet and band. The work was commissioned by The United States Air Force Band and recorded by the band on its album, “Excursions.”
Mr. Broughton explores the trumpet’s technical and expressive capabilities through angular melodies and driving rhythms, with the solo trumpet leading the band.
