Feather Report is a jazz ensemble chart and conductor score by Kris Berg, with the distinct flavor of the group Weather Report. It continues Berg’s run of chicken-related jazz ensemble titles and features a hip-hop/shuffle-swing groove.
The chart includes a written-out tenor solo, while other players can take the simple two-chord solo section. Meter changes move from 4 to 3 and back, described as nothing dangerous. Lead trumpet range is to written A above the staff, with optional C.
Brass players have a tough blow in this chart, and its duration is 6:17.
