First Things First is a basic blues/rock tune by composer and educator Heather Hoefle, written for the very beginning band. This conductor score is designed as a first full band arrangement for beginning players.
The tune is playable using just the first five notes introduced in most beginning band methods, making it a pedagogically sound and musically effective choice for an early ensemble experience.
