"Flor Mixteca" by Christian Korthals is a lively Latin piece featuring a catchy groove and a fresh melody, with a touch of melancholy in the bridge that combines elements from cha-cha, tango, bossa, and salsa styles. The optional solo vamps are harmonically simple, and the rhythms will provide a fun challenge for less experienced players. Arranged for saxophone quintet (SATTBar/AATTBar) and percussion ad lib.
