Capricorns love making their own rules and this piece is no exception. The opening fanfare and fugue display the relentless nature of these hardest workers of the zodiac. A contrasting middle section steps quickly into the determined and strong nature of our friends. The closing then reminds us why Capricorns so often make it---they never give up. With contrasting woodwind and brass choirs, rich harmonies, and inspiring melodies, Friends of Capricorn by Frank McKinney brings a musical maturity to the sound of young bands.
