The GRS 6-1/2-inch, 8-ohm woofer has a low-profile frame for easy surface mounting in new installations or retrofits to older speaker systems. Its damped poly cone and rubber surround are designed for a natural, well-controlled response.
A copper cap in the motor helps reduce inductance and distortion. The integrated foam gasket supports an airtight cabinet seal, while the vented pole piece and aluminum former help keep the voice coil cool to minimize power compression and maintain sound integrity at higher volumes.
The lightweight 2-layer coil provides good efficiency for high output without requiring a lot of power. This woofer is suitable for sealed and vented enclosures, can be used in 3-way speaker designs, and is compatible with many classic speaker systems.
