The Harrison Labs 6 dB RCA line-level audio attenuator pair reduces the drive signal to an amplifier, helping make its input level or gain control easier to adjust. It is suited to systems such as home A/V receivers and basic amplifiers that do not have input level controls.
Sold in pairs, these attenuators have 24 kt gold over brass construction and are made in the U.S.A. The supplier’s example describes an 8 volt line driver and an amplifier with a 100mV (0.1V) to 2 volt input range; a 12 dB attenuator would allow the amp’s gain control to be adjusted to about 1/2 rotation.
