A "bluesy" solo opens this pairing of "Heaven Bound Soldier" and "This Little Light of Mine" by Philip Kern. Each melody is presented alone, then the two spirituals combine with solid part writing and a creative, yet playable piano accompaniment. The scoring for the men is particularly well crafted, and the finish is a tour de force of choral arranging. Don't miss the outstanding SoundTrax CD.
