This Parts Express illuminated, switched IEC AC power jack mounts to a chassis and can add power to a 120 VAC DIY project. Its red-lens rocker switch provides white light and is DPST, rated 10A at 125 VAC.
The IEC socket is rated 10A at 250 VAC. The fuse holder is rated up to 6.3A at 250 VAC and accepts a 5 x 20 mm fuse. A spare-fuse space is built into the holder; the fuse is sold separately, and the correct fuse current is critical to protecting the project.
Cut a 48 x 28.5 mm mounting hole. The terminals measure 0.186" (4.74 mm); connections can be soldered or made with 0.187" (3/16") crimp connectors. Screw holes measure 0.173" (4.4 mm) and are spaced 1.575" (40 mm) apart to center. Total dimensions are 1.92" W x 2.29" H x 1.18" D (49 x 58 x 29.5 mm), including terminals and without the switch. Outer mounting plate thickness is 0.9" (2.3 mm).
