Sally Albrecht's text evokes the candle as a universal symbol for "the celebrations we hold dear" in December. In the flickering lights we remember our past and our traditions. Without mentioning any holiday by name, it's appropriate to honor Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa. The haunting, captivating melody evokes the wonder of the holiday season.
