The Jantzen Audio 1.8µF 400V Cross Cap is a multipurpose, entry-level audiophile capacitor for crossover applications. It uses a single foil, standard MKP/PP construction with aluminum- and zinc-based metallized polypropylene foil. Jantzen describes its sonic profile as virtually free of distortion, pleasant and rather neutral.
The capacitor measures Ø 15 mm × 26 mm. Its dielectric insulation is polypropylene film, and its terminal leads are tinned 4N copper wire. The voltage rating is 400 VDC / 250 VAC, the working temperature range is -40C to +85C, and the capacitance tolerance is ±5%.
