The Kevin Spears Pro Kalimba 23-Key With Eq is a blemished kalimba in red cedar with a natural finish, designed for players who want expanded tonal range and built-in amplification.
It features an electric pickup, preamp, built-in EQ, and volume control for use with guitar pedals, sound effects, looping, and more. The 23-key expanded layout offers greater tonal choices, and it is tunable to any key or scale.
This model provides a 5-octave extended range with tunable notes from Low C-1 bass notes up to G-5. It also includes Kevin Spears custom tuning for playing bass and melody polyphonically, plus reinforced side walls for percussive rhythms.
A standard 1/4 inch jack is built in, and the unit is switched on by plugging an audio cable into the jack. Two batteries are included. To preserve battery life, do not leave the cable plugged in when not in use.
