This Parts Express knock-down MDF cabinet is designed as a 0.56 cubic foot bookshelf speaker enclosure. CNC-cut dadoes in the top, bottom, and rear of the side panels help provide a secure fit and maximize gluing surface for assembly, which takes minutes. It is suited to beginner speaker builders without expensive tools or access to a woodshop.
The cabinet is made entirely of medium density fiberboard (MDF) for an acoustically inert effect on speakers. Its front baffle has roundovers on the sides for a professional look while minimizing diffraction. An optional window brace is included for added rigidity.
Panel thickness is 3/4". External dimensions are 16" H x 8.5" W x 11" D; internal dimensions are 14.5" H x 7" W x 9.5" D. The finished cabinet volume is 0.56 cubic feet. It can also be laid on its side for center channel use. Made in the U.S.A.; sold individually.
