La Bayadere: Act II Conductor Score presents the completed orchestration of Act II from Ludwig Minkus’s ballet classic. This score covers the Kingdom of the Shades scene, one of the most recognized excerpts in the repertoire.
The ballet La Bayadère (“The Temple Dancer” or “The Temple Maiden”) was created in 1877 for Marius Petipa. Act II follows Nikiya’s death, Solor’s opium dream, and the lovers’ reunion among the shades before his arranged marriage.
