This C Major New Orleans style blues composition definitely captures the feel of the bayou, in the classic blues form. There is great syncopation, long legato phrasing, and a "sweetly sad and singing" mood, with lots of opportunities for expression. The student will definitely enjoy this excursion into American jazz styling. A Federation Festivals 2024-2028 selection.
