This 17-key kalimba has a compact size suited to travel and a bell-like tone with even harmonics and a rich, warm sound that blends well with modern music. The kalimba has a musical history stretching back some 3,000 years to the Shona people of Zimbabwe, Southern Africa, and is closely related to the ancient Mbira.
The body is made of Trembesi wood, with graphic art design on the top, back and sides. It has 17 stainless steel tines/keys, two rear vibrato holes, and a Matt finish.
Standard tuning is in the key of C. The tuning hammer is traditional metal.
