Mardi Gras is a rousing Dixieland solo with a feel inspired by walking down Bourbon Street in New Orleans.
The left hand uses stride piano style: beats 1 and 3 are played as a single note or octave, followed by a chord on beats 2 and 4. Syncopation and triplets are used throughout.
This solo appeals to mid-to-late teens.
