The ES925/FM3 is a modular condenser microphone system for professional sound reinforcement and other commercial sound applications. This configuration includes a cardioid microphone element, a 12.08-inch gooseneck and a 3-pin flush-mount power module with an integral 3-pin XLRM-type output. The power module mounts unobtrusively in tabletops, and a capacitive touch switch enables local muting.
The microphone has a fixed-charge back plate, permanently polarized condenser element, 30–20,000 Hz frequency response, −40 dB (10.0 mV) open-circuit sensitivity re 1V at 1 Pa, 140 dB SPL maximum input sound level, 112 dB dynamic range and 66 dB signal-to-noise ratio. It requires 22–52V DC phantom power and consumes 8 mA. Two-state RGB LED status indicators show mic on and mic off; an indicator is featured on both the flush-mount power module and element housing. The system is TAA-compliant and uses UniGuard® RFI-shielding technology for rejection of radio frequency interference.
Interchangeable components let you combine ES modular microphone power module types (XLR, FM3, FM5 and DS5), gooseneck lengths (4.85″, 9.08″, 12.08″, 15.08″, 18.08″ and 21.08″), and microphone polar patterns. Available interchangeable elements include ESE-Ca cardioid (120°), ESE-Ha hypercardioid (100°), ESE-MLa MicroLine® (90°) and ESE-Oa omnidirectional (360°), permitting angles of acceptance from 90° to 360°. The small-diameter gooseneck allows flexible positioning, while superior off-axis rejection supports maximum gain before feedback. Included isolators provide mechanical dampening of mounting-surface vibration.
The ES925C12/FM3 weighs 134 g (4.7 oz) and measures 38.0 mm (1.50″) W × 48.0 mm (1.89″) D × 315.0 mm (12.40″) H. Included accessories: one pair of isolators, nut, AT8109a foam windscreen, M2 × 2 set screw and hex wrench. Audio-Technica case style: M44.
