
Mythes, Op. 30 is a suite for violin and piano by Karol Szymanowski (1882-1937), written in 1915 and inspired by Greek mythology.
The work premiered in 1916 with Paul Kochanski on violin and the composer at the piano. It was dedicated to Kochanski's wife, Zofia Kochanska.
This suite includes three pieces that feature advanced violin techniques, and the third movement contains quarter tones: "La fontaine d'Arethuse" (The Fountain of Arethusa), "Narcisse" (Narcissus), and "Dryades et Pan" (Dryads and Pan).
