The Neutrik etherCON B Series is a ruggedized, lockable RJ45 connector system for professional audio, video, and lighting network applications. This shielded connector is designed for horizontal PCB mounting and rear panel mounting, with a space-saving design and a rugged metal front plate. The chassis connectors fit standardized panels used in the entertainment industry.
The connector accommodates rugged etherCON NE8MC* connectors or any standard RJ45 plug, and has an approved latch lock system. It provides two separate light pipes for illumination and indication; standard 3 mm LEDs are mounted on the PCB by the customer. The light pipes do not include customer-mounted LEDs. It does not intermate with CAT6 cable connector NE8MC6-MO or NKE6S* cables.
Panel fastening uses a self-tapping PLASTITE® screw with thread 2.9x1.06 and tri-rondular configuration (A-screw). Comprehensive shielding is provided by a completely closed metal housing. Specifications include CAT5e / Class D according to TIA/EIA 568C and ISO/IEC 11801, ground panel connection, and PoE type 4 class 8 (100W) according to IEEE 802.3bt.
