The Neutrik Profi professional RCA plug pair is designed for cable connections with a spring-loaded ground contact. Its retractable element has separate wedge contacts that hold the shell in the front position when engaged, creating a direct, strictly coaxial electrical connection from the socket through the shell to the cable shield.
The all-metal design uses machined brass and a black-coated shell. Gold-plated contacts and a high-grade plastic insulator with high creep resistance complete the construction. The spring-loaded contact makes ground before signal and breaks signal before ground, helping prevent disturbing noise and broken speaker cones.
Assembly and soldering are made easier with a large soldering area, rapid-flow plating, and an improved ground solder lug. A Neutrik chuck-type strain relief, a sleek barrel with a soft-touch surface, and a colored shrink sleeve are also included.
