The Overnight Sensations MT Speaker Kit Pair is a DIY kit designed by Paul Carmody to build a pair of near-field monitors. It offers a quick, economical build for small monitors or computer speakers, with 1/2" Baltic birch knock-down cabinets precisely CNC cut for fit and finish.
The kit includes a pair of cabinets; drivers; adjustable port tubes; crossover components and printed circuit boards; gold binding posts; hookup wire; cable ties; and screws. Components include 2 each of the 10 Ohm 10W and 6 Ohm 10W precision audio-grade resistors; 0.22uF, 1.5uF, 2.2uF, and 6.8uF 250V polypropylene capacitors; 0.35mH 20 AWG air core inductor coils; and 1.1mH 18 AWG air core inductors. It also includes 2 adjustable port tubes with 1-3/8" ID, 2 3/4" neodymium dome tweeters, 2 4" aluminum round-frame midbass drivers, and 2 pairs of gold HD binding posts. The listed hardware includes 125-pack #6 x 3/4" pan head deep-thread black screws, 12" black cable ties, and 6 ft. of 16 AWG stranded OFC twisted-pair speaker cabinet hookup wire in red/black.
