The MHL port on a mobile device looks and works just like a standard Micro-USB connector, but use it with an MHL adapter and you can connect your phone to the HDMI input on an HDTV. The TV will mirror the display on your handset when connected, so you can play video games, stream movies in 1080p, show photos and presentations, or participate in a videoconference.
This adapter plugs into the MHL port on your phone, and provides an interface for an HDMI cable to connect to the high definition TV. Your phone charger provides operating power to the adapter through the power jack and keeps your phone battery charged.
