The Peerless By Tymphany NE Series 2" full-range woofer has an aluminum cone and a butyl rubber surround designed using finite element analysis for linearity of performance.
Its sculpted, open cast aluminum basket minimizes internal acoustic reflections and acts as a heatsink for the neodymium motor. The motor's copper cap, also developed using finite element analysis, reduces inductance and extends high-frequency performance.
