Tymphany built the 1" 40N25AL01 PMT Series premium micro transducer for computer, television, micro array, and similar modern audio applications. It features a neodymium motor, light aluminum cone, and high-temperature polycarbonate frame that is designed for minimum center-to-center mounting distance and reduced comb filtering.
A low 234 Hz resonant frequency allows the 40N25AL01 to reproduce frequencies lower than most drivers this size (250 Hz), while maintaining an average sensitivity of 85.6 dB (2.83V/1m) from 300 to 16,000 Hz. Using four drivers in a series-parallel group of four units increases average sensitivity to a respectable 91 dB (2.83V/1m).
