Pieces For The Musical Clock is a set of five pieces discovered after Beethoven’s death. Their discovery raised the question of which instrument was intended to play them.
The first section, in F Major, matches Mozart’s Fantasie, K. 608, for Musical Clock—a work Beethoven owned a copy of. Based on this connection, many concluded that Beethoven’s score was also intended for the musical clock.
