Primordial Overture was written to convey the spirit or essence of a time long, long ago. It begins with a calm, foreboding introduction that builds to a majestic fanfare, then shifts into a lively, almost dance-like section that drives the piece toward a full-bodied brass chorale. The piece ends with a small restatement of the lively section, coming to an energetic conclusion. Sure to evoke various images from throughout the centuries, this work would be ideal for your next concert program.
