Engineered to deliver massive bass output, the 12W1600 12″ woofer performs exceptionally well in small vented or sealed cabinets. Its shallow 5.51″ mounting depth and high EBP make it a great choice for compact folded horn enclosures.
The rigid cast aluminum frame is specially designed with side-forced cooling openings that direct airflow across the voice coil, enabling it to handle up to 1600 watts RMS with ease. Spring-loaded push terminals allow quick installation while providing a secure and reliable speaker wire connection.
To withstand the demands of professional sound applications, we designed a 4″ split copper voice coil wound inside and outside on a fiberglass former, featuring a generous 27.5 mm winding length for increased Xmax and reduced distortion.
The cone is made from thick paper for a natural response and reinforced with glass fiber, featuring a ribbed design for added structural strength.
A double heavy spider and triple roll treated cloth surround support the cone, both engineered for high-excursion performance to withstand short bursts of excessive power without damage.
